Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 (SOX) is "a United States federal law passed in response to a number of major corporate and accounting scandals including those affecting Enron, Tyco International, and WorldCom (now MCI). These scandals resulted in a decline of public trust in accounting and reporting practices." (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarbanes-Oxley_Act)
As an accountant, I truly do not understand the impact of this federal law until it is fully defined within the courts. Therefore, I am interested in reading about corporate accounting irregularities and corresponding prison sentences. Only through understanding the accounting irregularities and corresponding prison sentences can I make the appropriate decision to return or not to return to the accounting profession.
For we all know what was once considered cutting edge accounting can now put a person in prison, hence, a new opportunity for a boyfriend (girlfriend). Not my idea of an ideal dating situation.

Hi Deb, I liked your pictures. I'm not really sure if they're meant as a joke or not.
From an accountants point of view going to jail is serious business. Some executives are receiving substantial prison sentences. I selected some of the pictures because using actual people's faces did not seem appropriate given the topic. Therefore, I looked for pictures that would depict a change of life without focusing on a real person.
FYI, what I find with my friends is, as accountants, we make jokes about jail life but each of us knows if it happens to us it is no joke. Part of the answer is to acquire knowledge, understanding and wisdom. The other part of the answer is to work in an ethical work environment.
Thank you for commenting. I will also spend time looking at others and commenting during the holiday.
